Can you believe it... I'm still alive. I know you were all thinking after my last post, that my illness had gotten the better of me and I would never be heard from again. Heck, even my family was calling to see if I was still among the living. Yes, I'm alive and kicking... just super swamped and for some reason, not motivated to blog. But, I have vowed (again) to do better... mostly so my dad will stop scolding me. LOL
Things are good here, but like I mentioned, super busy. I've got work coming out my ears, which is a good thing, but my poor laptop is having a hard time keeping up with me. I keep thinking it will slow down soon... but I'm starting to get the feeling that that never happens. Oh well, thank God that I'm blessed with relative success right?
The family is finally all well again (pounding on wood here). Riley ended up on a very strong antibiotic that finally killed whatever it was that made her sick to begin with. Yesterday I took her to Lanstuhl to see an allergy specialist. They tested her for 8 basic allergies and thankfully, she has none. They're leaning toward asthma again. They said that asthma would explain why she gets horrible chest congestion when she gets a cold. But to me, it still doesn't explain why she stays sick for weeks on end. Ugh! So, no anemia, no allergies, no malnutrition... what in the world? She's doing great right now though, so please pray that she stays healthy all winter!
Halloween was a blast this year. I was going to dress up, but my costume never showed up in the mail. sniff. Jaime and a friend of his MADE their costume... yes, that's him there on the camel... his friend is in there too. LOL The girls were DYING to wear the dresses that we bought them at Disneyland, so when it finally got here, they were beside themselves. Check out these pretty princesses.. Belle and Snow White...
I'm getting excited for the Holidays. The weather has really cooled off and the last couple mornings have actually been frosty.. so it's got me in the mood for Christmas shopping, turkey and Christmas music. Not to mention that all the designing I've been doing in the last few weeks has been Christmas-themed. Here is my latest kit...
You're prolly thinking, "hmm, that looks looks familiar", it's because I started out revamping a kit that I did last year, but ended up adding a color and completely redoing all the papers and elements. So, I guess you can call it a brand new kit. I love, love it! 'Hope you do too. You can pick it up HERE.
Since we're talking Christmas kits here, you just HAVE to take a look at the DigiChick designer's latest collaboration. It's the most adorable Christmas kit ever and IT'S FREE! Yep, free with a $10 purchase in the boutique! Check it out, then click HERE for more details...
AND, as if that wasn't enough...we're also having a great contest with the kit. Everyone who enters gets an exclusive Add-On pack and then 4 entrants will be randomly drawn to win a $10 gift certificate to the DigiChick Boutique. Click HERE for details on how to enter!
So, let's see, I think that might be all the stuff I wanted to cover. Except the fun part... I have a little gift for everyone but you're only allowed to download it if you leave me a little comment here. I love feeling the love! Enjoy...
Edited on 11/18/06: The free alpha has been taken down and will be available for purchase in The DigiChick Boutique starting Nov. 23rd. Thanks for all the love left here!
Glad to see you are back. Cute, cute Halloween photos and a fun freebie too. Glad everyone is feeling better.

Your daughters look darling! Sorry for the illnesses, and you should definitely think about asthma! I have it as do my 3 sons. If you have it and not taking the right meds you seem to stay sick for a long time, one son would get pneumonia twice a winter until he got an inhalor and other meds. Get a nebulizer! They help keep your lungs moist and break up congestion, and/or run the shower just for steam and sit in there while it runs, for about 10-15 minutes, that helps also! Hugs :)
